Mrs. Betty Jo Yates' Obituary
Betty Jo Yates, age 83 of White House, having resided at Maybelle Carter in Madison for the past two years, passed away on July 4, 2013. Mrs. Yates was born on May 10, 1930 in Nashville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Robert Yates and sister, Dorothy Jean Burger. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, David (Geri) of Goodlettsville, TN and Danny Yates of Franklin; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia (Randall) Baker and Teresa (Keith) Hicks of Nashville; sister, Mary Louise Potts and grandchildren, Kristi Yates, Tiffany Baker, Karlee and Emily Hicks.
She was an active member of Dalewood United Methodist Church for over 40 years and later became a member of White House First United Methodist Church.
A celebration of Mrs. Yates’s life will be conducted 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 8, 2013 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Dr. A. Lynn Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Plains Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until 6 P.M. on Sunday, July 7 at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
