Mrs. Bettye Campsey-Wright's Obituary
Bettye Campsey-Wright, 90, of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Born February 28, 1932, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Horton Eve Mayo, Sr. & Anna Lee Clark.
Bettye graduated from East High School. Her family will remember her for love of animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Michael Clark Steinhauser; brothers Everette Howell Mayo, Edward Wade Mayo, Alton Clark Mayo, and Horton E. Mayo, Jr.; husbands Donald Steinhauser, Thomas Campsey and Harold Bell Wright.
She is survived by her nephew William (Janice) Mayo; niece Cheryl Roberts; and lifelong friend Evelyn Harris.
Visitation will take place at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM. A graveside service will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her husband Thomas Campsey.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nashville Humane Society.
