Betty Jo Vinson's Obituary
Betty Jo Vinson, age 79 of Madison, TN passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013. Mrs. Vinson was born in Nashville, TN on March 9, 1934 to Charles W. and Beadie Riggins.
She graduated from Isaac Litton High School in 1953 and Belmont College of Nursing and followed her lifelong passion while working as a registered Nurse in the Nashville area.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Estes Vinson; her parents; and step father Bill Landis.
Survivors include her daughter, Belinda (Nelson) Garrett; son, Doug Vinson; Brother, Charles (Wilma) Riggins Jr.; sister, Dorothy Harrison Winslow; grandchildren, Chad (Kristin) Garrett, Holly (Micah) Estes and Heather Garrett; and great-grandchildren, Ellie and Isaac Estes, and Riley Garrett.
A celebration of Mrs. Vinson’s life will be conducted at 11 A.M., Saturday, March 30, 2013 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral home with Joe Vinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Woodbury at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 3 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Friday, March 29, 2013 at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville and from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M., prior to the service.
