Beverly Ann Briggs' Obituary
Beverly Ann Briggs, 79, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away at her home on August 15th, 2025. She was born to the late Ben and Christine Ledbetter in Tennessee City, TN on January 19th, 1946.
Beverly was a 1964 graduate of Antioch High School where she served as senior class president. She then went on to further her education at Belmont College, and it was there, in 1967, where she met the love of her life, Steve Briggs. The two would date only a few months before they were married in November of 1967. Beverly and Steve would both graduate from Belmont the following year in 1968.
During her working years, she worked as a secretary for the Jason Foundation in Hendersonville & taught for a few years as well. She was an extremely talented calligrapher with the Nashville Calligraphy Guild and attended Hendersonville First Baptist; she loved watching movies, doing all kinds of crafts, and of course, practicing calligraphy.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Linda Ledbetter; one brother, David Ledbetter; and her son-in-law, Paul Mayberry.
Those left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of nearly 58 years, Steve Briggs; three children, Jeff Briggs (Rebecca), Kim Mayberry, and Michael Briggs (Zollie); seven grandchildren, Matthew Mayberry, Jonathan Mayberry, Andrew Mayberry, Nicolas Mayberry, Ada Briggs, Ellie Briggs, and Cooper Briggs; one great grandchild, Aspen Mayberry, and one on the way, Briggs Mayberry; along with many friends and extended family members.
