It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Beverly George Stone on July 27th, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee. Beverly was a devoted follower of the Lord, cherishing her faith and community at Sylvan Street Baptist Church.
Beverly’s life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family. She adored her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always finding joy in bringing everyone together to create cherished memories. Her home was a haven of warmth, laughter, and love, where family bonds were strengthened and celebrated.
A passionate traveler, Beverly embraced the beauty of the world with open arms. Whether exploring new destinations or revisiting beloved places, her adventurous spirit was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Beverly’s legacy of love, faith, and adventure will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a tapestry of beautiful memories and a life well-lived, filled with grace and joy. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
In addition to her parents Edwin C. George, Sr. and Rosa Lena McKinney George, Beverly is preceded in death by her siblings Edwin C. George, Jr., Ronald George, and Debra Crosby. She is survived by her loving husband Billy Stone; children LaToya Byas and Brian Stone; grandchildren Amyia Byas, Makia Esaw, and Josiah Simmons; great-grandchildren Trae Stewart. Taleigha Stewart, Takia Stewart, and Truth Stewart; siblings Dianne George, Thomas George, and Michale George; sisters-in-law Allyson Sneed, Andrea (Tony) Wilson, and Brenda “BJ” (Lemuel) Melvin; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
The family cordially invites guests and relatives for a time of visitation on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, from 9:00 until 10:00 in the morning, with a funeral service and burial to follow at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. Reverend Darrell Short will preside over services.
