Mrs. Billie K. Sampson Atwood's Obituary
Billie K. Sampson Atwood, age 63 of Nashville, TN passed away April 4, 2013 in Nashville after an extended illness. Mrs. Atwood was born July 22, 1949 in Kingsport, TN to Billy Joe and Mildred Sampson.
She was preceded in death by her father; brother-in-law, Beeler “Shorty” Walton; her maternal and paternal grandparents. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband Donald B. “Bert” Atwood, Sr.; daughter, Melissa K. Atwood (Jerry) Bryant; son, Donald B. (Debbie Byrd) Atwood, Jr.; grandchildren, Logan Bryant, Sarah DeJong, Andrew DeJong, Gabe Condrey and Annabelle Byrd; her mother, Mildred Sampson and sister, Connie Walton.
A celebration of Mrs. Atwood’s life will be conducted at 9 A.M., Saturday, April 6, 2013 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Reed officiating. Interment will be in the Middle TN Veterans Cemetery at 1P.M., Tuesday, April 9, 2013 with nephews serving as pallbearers. Dr. Christopher D. Holloway, Charles E. Crow and Linda Robinson are honorary pallbearers The family will receive friends from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M., Friday, April 5, 2013 and from 8 A.M. until the time of service, Saturday at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
