Ms. Billie Jean Oglesby West's Obituary
Ms. Billie Jean Oglesby West, age 90 of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday March 20, 2022. She was born on February 20, 1932. She is survived by her grandchildren David Oglesby and Carrie Johnson, great-grandchildren Aysiah Oglesby, Braedon Oglesby, Kaylee Moore, Tori Johnson, and Kane Mason, and great-great-grandson Sebastian Wix.
Billie Jean was a strong, independent, woman of faith who loved her family dearly. She retired from the Oscar Meyer factory at the age of 61, and was a very hard worker. She was so hard-working in fact, that when told it would cost the same to remove her roof as it would to replace it, she got her ladder and removed it herself. She also cared for her own yard, push-mowing her yard until she was 73. Billie Jean was very unique, and you never had to wonder what was on her mind. She was a wonderful cook and a collector of mugs and glassware. She also enjoyed interior decorating.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 5 at 11am in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
