Billy Akin was a wonderful human being, Christian, and elder in the church. I feel so fortunate to have known him and remember him often. He was also a gifted Bible teacher and once in Sunday school at Riverside Drive Church of Christ he passed around an antique coin he had for us to view with Caesar's inscription on it from Rome. It was a great visual aid to teach a class on "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's" . He just had this great way of weaving things all together to make you understand the scriptures better. I always enjoyed my conversations with him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family – Shirley, Jean, his children, and grandchildren. -Jerry Westbrook
