Billy C. Tillman's Obituary
TILLMAN, Billy Cummings -Age 90 of Hendersonville passed away on Tuesday, March 22nd. He was a Lieutenant in the Navy serving during WWII and the Korean War with the 6th CB and also serving aboard the USS Block Island. He was a lifetime member of the Scottish Rite as well a 60 year Mason. He was also a life member of the Greater Nashville Bowling Association. He was born to the late William and Johnnie Tillman. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Dorothy Ezell Tillman, and his wife of 25 years, Annie Perry Tillman; brothers, William Aubrey Tillman and Jack Tillman; and sister, Mary Elizabeth Williams. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Tillman; step-son, Larry (Krys) Flatt; step-daughter, Carolyn (Donnell) Ricketts; grandchildren, Wendi Ricketts and Nickolas Flatt; nieces, Ann T. Husband and Anna W. Ross; nephews, John Williams and Tom Tillman, of West Palm Beach, FL; and cousin, Martha Druham of Hartsville, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to St. Jude, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Nashville Rescue Mission,639 Lafayette Street Nashville, TN 37203. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 24th from 4-8PM with the brethren of the East Nashville/Buena Vista Lodge holding a Masonic Service at 7PM. A funeral service will be held at 2PM, Friday, March 25th with visitation two hours prior at SPRING HILL FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY 5110 Gallatin Rd.
