"Loving father and husband of 65 years. His loving tender nature will be missed, he was loved by all that knew him. A proud Navy veteran in 1952 of the Korean War, Stationed in the live ammunition room on the USS St. Paul; Dads nickname was “Battling B from Tennessee“ We love you !"
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Billy Curry Sr., 92, of Nashville. Mr. Curry was a lifelong resident of Nashville, and attended Haywood Hills Baptist Church for many years. He was a proud member of the United States Navy and served in the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his son, Billy Curry Jr., as well as his parents Mary Van Artsdalen Curry and Hermit Curry. Those left to cherish his memory are his beautiful wife of 67 years, Eva Downing Curry; his loving daughter, Dania Collins and son-in-law Joe Collins; niece Karen Williams; nephew Bryan Downing.
