Bobbi Jane Ladd's Obituary
Bobbi Jane Ladd, 59, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. She was born on August 1, 1964, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late James Richard and Jane Guthrie Ladd.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald James Ladd. She is survived by her sister, LuAnn Lowe (Charlie) of Gallatin, Tennessee, and the Lowe family, Jason (Sarah) Lowe, Henry and Charlie Lowe, Jessica (Seth) Brown, and a sister-in-law, Sue Ellen Carter.
Bobbi was a graduate of Goodpasture Christian School, Class of 1982. She was on the basketball and softball teams and many championship softball teams at Madison Little League Park. She played college basketball and softball at Motlow State Community College. After college, she followed her hobby of cooking and was a chef at Laurell’s Restaurant on Second Avenue in Nashville. She was known for delicious seafood soups and featured on Talk of the Town. In 1990, she began working in the administrative offices of Nashville Auto Auction and later transferred to Utah Auto Action to pursue her hobbies in hiking, camping and snowboarding. She led many weekend expeditions for interns to Utah’s national parks and ski resorts near Salt Lake City. At the same time, she studied at the University of Utah, Class of 2002, and enjoyed working with the media at the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Bobbi loved her family, friends, neighbors, the elderly, and all furry friends, especially her beloved border collie, Belle, and Australian shepherd, Finn. She recently joined the Madison Elks and signed up to help with Youth Activities Programs serving the Madison Little League and other worthy causes for youth in the community.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville, with Buck Dozier and Jerry Sherrill officiating. The graveside service will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 10:00 am at Hermitage Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Lane in Old Hickory.
Honorary pallbearers are: Stephanie Banks, Renee Solomon, and the Goodpasture Girls of ’82. Pallbearers at the graveside service will be the Lowe family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Goodpasture Christian School, 619 Due West Avenue, Madison, Tennessee 37115 or Valley View Camp, P.O. Box 402, Madison, Tennessee 37116.
