Bobbie Sue Kennedy's Obituary
Bobbie Sue Kennedy, born July 17, 1938, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Grover and Teresa Burrows, passed away peacefully at home on February 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Gifted with a sharp mind and vibrant spirit, Bobbie Sue embraced life fully. In her younger years, she modeled and enjoyed playing golf, pursuits that highlighted both her poise and her competitive nature. She also had a keen interest in the stock market and took joy in the challenge of making smart financial decisions. Above all, she was devoted to her family, always placing her two daughters, grandson, and two great‑grandchildren at the center of her life.
Bobbie Sue never met a stranger, and her family often joked about how difficult it could be to get her off the phone. One of her grandson’s most treasured memories is the weekly letter she wrote to him for twelve years following the passing of his mother, her daughter—each one simple, heartfelt, and filled with pride and unconditional love. Her kitchen was another place she expressed that love, especially through her spaghetti, beef stew, and countless breakfast dishes—though her French toast was always a family favorite.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Ginger Valenti. Those who remain to cherish her memory include her daughter, Joni Maham; her grandson, Dylan Burroughs; and her two great‑grandchildren.
Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216, 615-865-1101, https://www.springhillfh.com.
