Mr. Bobby Garrett Jenkins' Obituary
Bobby Garrett Jenkins, age 88, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022. Born October 26, 1933 in Wilson County, Lebanon, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Jenkins and Clara Dismon Jenkins.
Bobby served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He was a retired machinist and tool and die maker at Parris Tool & Die. He was a member of Dickerson Road Baptist church for 26 years where he served as deacon, choir member, soloist and Sunday school teacher. His family will remember his great love for singing hymns and for University of Tennessee athletics.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his sisters Paulette Belew, Jewel Jenkins and Clara Stewart and nephews Jamie Belew, Tom Stewart, Greg Jenkins and niece Sherry Whitaker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Cathey Cavender Jenkins; daughters Lisa Jenkins Osborne (Bill) and Tami Jenkins Swindell (David); granddaughters Dr. Kathryn O. Newman (Luke) and Nikki Clifton; great-grandchildren Ava May Newman, Aiden Matthew Clifton and Sarah Jane Newman; sisters Faye Patterson (Carney) and Cathy Elrod; brother Neil Jenkins and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on February 19, 2022 at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216 with entombment and military honors following at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville. Receiving of Friends 12:30 PM Service 1:30 PM
