Mr. Bobby Lee Odum's Obituary
Age 83, born August 23, 1934, deceased April 19, 2018. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, William Franklin Odum, mother Bertha Hager Odum, stepmother Betty Horton Odum, brother Ernest Randall Odum, and stepbrother Junior Horton.
He is survived by his wife Randall Little Odum, daughters Lisa (Troy) Northcutt and Susan (Jeff) Wire, grandson Justin Northcutt, granddaughter Mallory Wire, brothers Roy (Evelyn) Odum and Alton (Linda) Odum, as well as numerous extended family.
Bobby and Randy were married on April 7th, 1956 and recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Bobby joined the U.S. Navy in 1955 and served for four years earning the rank U.S. Petty Officer First Class. He then joined the Naval Reserve where he stayed until the closing of the local reserve location and then he transitioned to the U.S. Coast Guard where he stayed until he was 70 and had to retire. Over the years he worked for Stansell Electric Company, Hobart, majority of his life for Shoney's Inc., and finished out working for Goodpasture Christian School. He was a hard laborer and continued to work until he was 80 years old.
Family will receive friends for a time of remembrance and visitation at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 24th, between the hours of 2-4pm and 6-8pm, and again one hour prior to the 1:30pm Celebration of Life service to be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 with Bro. Bill Ruhl officiating. Interment to follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Goodpasture Christian School, Maintenance Dept. attention Roger Hamlett.
