Bobby Gene Scott's Obituary
Bobby Gene Scott, 79, of Cedar Hill, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Muhs. Mr. Scott is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Nancy F. Scott, children, Tim Scott and his wife Jenny and Lori R. West and her husband Andy, seven grandchildren, Dalton Scott, Cole Scott, Scott Sumner, Kayleigh Colley and her husband Clay, Malori Wilson, Leighann Greenwell and her husband Kirk, and Mitchell West and his wife Emily, three great-grandchildren, Jace Greenwell and Adalyn Greenwell and soon-to-be Hadley West, and five siblings, Parkie Reed, David Reed, Martha Sherrod, Patsy Mummel and Teresa Walton.
Mr. Scott was born on March 8, 1944, in Nashville, Tennessee, he grew up with a love for sports, spending much of his youth playing baseball, basketball, football and more. He also developed a passion for fishing. He joined the United States Marine Corps, serving his country with distinction during the Vietnam War. He was a proud member the Corps. Mr. Scott cherished the time he spent with friends. He was a kind and generous man, always willing to lend a helping hand or lend an ear to someone in need. He proudly worked for over forty years for Metro Water Services.
The family cordially invites relatives and friends to gather and share their favorite stories of Mr. Scott on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from one thirty in the afternoon until two thirty in the afternoon at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville. Immediately following will be a graveside service set to commence at 2:45pm also at Spring Hill Cemetery. Everyone will process together to the grave.
