Mrs. Bonnie Sturges' Obituary
Bonnie Jo Jackson (Barnes) Sturges, age 80, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Bonnie was born on April 3, 1940 in Huntsville, Alabama the daughter of Charles and Mary Jo (Bailey) Jackson.
Bonnie met Ralph Sturges when they were 15 years old and got married in 1960, they were married for 59 ½ years. Bonnie had a great passion for education, she worked as a math teacher at a high school outside of Auburn, Alabama for two years. In Nashville, she taught math and science at Holy Rosary Academy for several years. She was a member of St. Philip Episcopal Church here in Nashville. She was an intelligent and kind individual and will be missed by her friends and family.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Ralph Sturges Jr., her children Tonita Fulks, Sonya Cesnik (Joe), Ralph “Trey” Sturges III (Regina), sister Barbara Corley (Ric), brother Charles Jackson (Judy). She is also survived by her grandchildren Mark Fulks Jr. Bonnie Byers, Olivia Cesnik, Anna Cesnik, Brooke Herring, Natalie Sturges, Nicholas Sturges, great-grandchildren Jackson Fulks and Helaina Byers.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her daughter Paige Sturges.
Bonnie’s visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2020 from 9:30-10:45 A.M. with a graveside service following at 11 AM in the Spring Hill Mausoleum.
