Brenda Carter Moore's Obituary
Brenda Carter Moore, 76, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Born March 2, 1946, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Eugene Carter, Sr. and Maggie Delk Atwood.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Doug Moore; companion of 27 years Doug Skidmore; brother Clarence Eugene “Buster” Carter, Jr.; sister Martha Ann McClure.
She is survived by her stepmother Marcelle Carter; daughter Kim Talbert; son David Page; sister Dorothy Murphy; brothers Jackie Carter, Sr. and Eugene Carter; grandchildren Amanda (Kevin) Prater, Victoria Talbert, and Destiny Page; great grandchildren Olivia Faulkner and Kevin Prater II.
Brenda was a retired secretary with the State of Tennessee where she had worked for over 30 years. She was a member of Third Baptist Church in Nashville. She was an independent, selfless woman who was always involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6 from 2 pm until 4 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service conducted by Dr. J.B. Miller will follow at 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brenda’s name to Third Baptist Church 5275 Buena Vista Pike, Nashville, TN 37218.
