Byron Dollar's Obituary
Byron Dollar, 82, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024. He was preceded in death by, his wife, Jennie Dollar, a daughter, Beth Dollar Welch and his parents, G.B. Dollar and Elizabeth Dollar.
Mr. Dollar is survived by his son, Jeff Dollar (Becky), son-in-law, Ronnie Welch, four grandchildren, Bethany Dollar, Joel Dollar, Brooke Welch Morris (Ronnie), and Jordan Welch (Christina), five great-grandchildren, Jake Morris, Allie Morris, Carter Morris, Nora Welch and Elam Welch, a brother, Wayne Dollar (Zana), a brother-in-law, Dr. Willard Keith (Becky), three nieces, Katie Mathis (Carey), Rachel Christmann (Daniel) and Amy Knight (Steve), three nephews, Samuel Keith (Angela), Al Dollar and Chad Dollar, and numerous extended relatives.
Mr. Dollar worked for Eastern Airlines for over 28 years. He then went to work for Cumberland Swan and the State of Tennessee where he retired. He was a member of Bethel Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years and sang in the choir and the men’s choir regularly. He loved to play golf and was heavily involved with Jennie’s daycare where he was a father to many more children other than his own.
He will be greatly missed and remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and one of the kindest people anyone could meet.
The family cordially invites relatives and friends to visit on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, from twelve o’clock noon until the time of the Celebration of Life service at three o’clock in the afternoon at Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 455 Broadmoor Drive in Nashville.
