Caitlin Hope "C.J." Johnson's Obituary
Caitlin Hope “C.J.” Johnson, 24, of Clarksville, Tennessee, (formerly of Nashville) passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023. Born August 4, 1998, in Hermitage, Tennessee, she was the daughter of James ‘Eric’ Johnson and Dawn Renee McKinnon.
C.J. was a member of Hunters Lane High School’s graduating class of 2016. She was a free spirit who always seemed to be smiling. She was a beautiful soul who wanted to be a source of positivity to others. She wanted to encourage you, give you hope. C.J. fought cancer (lymphoma) at a young age and defeated it. She loved animals and her family. She was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her parents James ‘Eric” Johnson and Dawn Renee McKinnon; sisters Kimberly (Dallas Hill) Frazier and Michelle (Rosa Montano) Deshotels; brother Kameron Johnson; maternal grandmother Jean James; paternal grandmother Melissa Johnson; godson, Brayden Collins and his mother Kayla Fenton; a niece that is on her way, Kaniyah Hill; a nephew that is on his way, Reese Richardson; best friend Karigan (Mike) Richardson; and several extended family members and friends.
A memorial gathering will take place at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville on Friday, August 4 from 2 pm until 6 pm.
