Carl Letcher Murphy Jr.'s Obituary
Carl Letcher Murphy, Jr., age 89 of Nashville, TN passed away on February 13, 2012. He was a charter member and deacon emeritus of Dalewood Baptist Church. Carl served as a bombardier in World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jean Elizabeth Murphy. He is survived by his son, Robert C. Murphy and wife, Merna; brother, George A. Murphy; grandson, Miles Jackson Black and wife, Jennifer; and great-grandson, Aaron Black. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 3-7 P.M. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be conducted on Friday, February 17, 2012, 12 noon in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home.
