Mr. Carl Daniel Maidlow's Obituary
Carl Daniel Maidlow, age 57 of Hendersonville, passed away on August 5, 2015. Carl was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 11, 1957 to the late Carl Leon and Jacqueline Burnell Maidlow. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend.
His family recalls that Carl was simple and reserved, but was a proud father and grandfather. Carl was stationed as a cook during his time in the U. S. Army and as he was bringing up his family, he especially enjoyed cooking soups for them. He also enjoyed rock n’ roll, war history, western movies and Ohio State Football.
Carl and his son, Bryan, shared a very special bond. Carl and Bryan spent a great deal of time at baseball parks sharing their love of the sport. Carl also taught Bryan the plumbing trade.
His daughter, Amanda, remembers riding around with Carl, taking in the Nashville sights and spending time together. He was an encouraging presence in her life, and he was proud of all that she has been able to accomplish.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother, John Maidlow.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Amanda Maidlow; son, Bryan Maidlow; brothers, Keith and David Maidlow; sisters, Brenda Maidlow, Becky Lamberth, and Kim Maidlow; and grandchildren, Ariana Carter and Taylor Read.
Carl’s family will receive friends and visitors on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 2pm until 9pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Additional visitation will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2015, from 9am until 12pm.
Brother Roger Thaxton will lead a Celebration of Life Funeral Ceremony to honor Carl on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 12pm from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.
