Carol Lynn Cosby's Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ms. Carol Lynn Cosby on June 28th, 2022. She was born on April 4th, 1951 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to the late Erick Hansen and Norma Jean Adcock Hansen.
Carol had a true servant’s heart and was a humanitarian to the core. In her spare time, she devoted herself to knitting hats and blankets for newborn babies. She was passionate about child literacy and welfare, and dedicated herself to teaching children how to read in Davidson County. She also had a deep love for animals and animal rescue organizations. She was a songbird with a gorgeous singing voice and a talent for playing the piano, dobro, and banjo. Her musical taste varied far and wide from Led Zeppelin to The Beatles, old school R&B, and classic country. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. She was always curious about the world with a hunger for learning and a zeal for life. She was beloved by all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents Erick and Norma Jean, and sister Linda Morris. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Cyndi Cosby and Cheryl Cosby (Ben Barrett-Nesbit); brother-in-law Dan C. Morris; and nieces Julie Morris-Jones and Katy McCown.
The family will be hosting a private ceremony at a future date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
