Dear Wachter Family,
,
Your Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, mother in law, and many other titles, meant so much to me. As a young woman trying to find her way back in the 80's, God graciously let us find each other and she became a part of my life for over 40 years. I affectionally referred to her as my "Nashville mom," as she always made a point to make me feel like family.
Carol and I have had so many fun times these past few years and I made sure that I came to see her at least once every year. I grew to love our acupuncture appointments, our last one being in November. I can almost see her curled up in that chair so relaxed.
One of my favorite memories I have is when we saw the Oak Ridge Boys at the Opryland hotel a couple years back. The dinner and the show were among the best we had seen and that whole night was simply memorable and fun.
There will never be another Carol but because she put her hope in Jesus, she is with Him now and I will see her again.
Unfortunately, due to a lingering sickness, I am not able to make the trip from Virginia, but be assured I will be remembering you all in prayer as you all celebrate the life of a woman so dearly loved.
Much love,
Sandi Martin
