Carol Lee Brown Wamble's Obituary
Carol Lee Brown Wamble was born to the late Vernon Lee Brown and to Leah “Peggy” Brown on August 2, 1944. She departed this life on October 28, 2025.
She received Christ at a young age under the leadership of her father who baptized her. She was an active member of the church of Christ where she raised her children to grow in the love of the Lord.
Carol received her Certified Appraisal of Private Property (CAPP) and was well-known for her experience as a professional appraiser. She traveled the country appraising estates, antiques, and collectibles. She was also a certified member of the International Society of Appraisers in antiques and residential contents. She served as a keynote speaker at conferences and served as chair for the annual convention held in Nashville.
Carol’s memory will be lovingly cherished by her two children, Elizabeth Jill Asbury (Steve) and Michael Thomas Wamble (Heather), her five grandchildren, Gavin Asbury, Melissa Crosby, Ethan Wamble (Alexis), John Patrick Wamble, and Luke Wamble, and great-grandson Enoch Wamble. Brothers and sisters include Mike Brown (Pam), Ruth Griffin, and the late Charlene Adamson. There are also numerous nieces and nephews. Bobby Sweeney has been one of the loves of her life. In addition, Emma Popejoy has been an important member of our extended family. She is also survived by the father of her children, Tom Wamble.
The family wishes to express our sincere appreciation for all of the prayers, phone calls, visits, and other acts of kindness shown. We are forever grateful. Memorials may be sent to her home church, Crain Baptist Church in Ava, Illinois and to Maple Hill church of Christ in Lebanon, Tennessee.
The Memorial Service will be held at Maple Hill church of Christ, 102 Maple Hill Road, Lebanon, TN 37087 on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 6PM. Visitation will be held from 4PM until time of service.
