Carole Ann Lesher, 86, passed away on August 6, 2024, at Alive Hospice. She was born in Queens, New York on December 19, 1937, to the late Robert and Florence (Dahl) Lesher.
Carole was a graduate of Richmond Hill High School in Queens. Over a career of more than 40 years, she worked as a bookkeeper for several firms in New York City, including Heidelberg America. She also served as the business manager for a law firm in Manhattan. Upon retiring in 1996, Carole moved with her dear friend, Joan Fedrich, to Nashville, Tennessee to be near the country music scene that they both loved. World travel was one of the great joys of both her and Joan’s lives, and Carole’s favorite destinations included Hawaii, the Bahamas, Switzerland, and Germany.
Carole is survived by five nephews and nieces, Ronald (Lisa) Kiedaisch of Wappingers Falls, NY, Randall (Teri) Kiedaisch of Dix Hills, NY, Laureen Maines of Bloomington, IN, Dean Maines (Nancy O’Connor) of Edina, MN, and Janice (David) Johnson of Westfield, IN. She also is survived by eight great-nephews and nieces, Lauren (Jason) Rudich, Christa Kiedaisch (Paul Mazza, fiancé), Michelle Kiedaisch, Alex (Phoebe) Johnson, Audrey Johnson, Colm (Brigid) Maines, Ruth Maines (Sean Pingel), and Deaglan Maines (Taylor Lavin, fiancée), as well as a great-great niece, Helen Maines, and a great-great nephew, Luke Maines. In addition to her parents, Carole is predeceased by her two sisters, Doris Kiedaisch and Ruth Maines, her dear friend Joan Fedrich, and her niece Denise Maines.
A visitation will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Pike S, Nashville, on Tuesday, August 20 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 21 at 10 a.m., with interment following at 11:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery.
