Mrs. Carole B. Wilson's Obituary
Carole Bonita (Kinzer) WIlson, Nashville, TN, age 79, departed this life on July 4, 2017, to be with her heavenly Father. Carole was born January 2, 1938, to the late Harold M. Kinzer and Ella (Choate) Kinzer in Nashville, TN.
Carole is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harrison Jerry Wilson, daughter, Kathy Wilson, granddaughter, Mackenzie Smith, brother, Harold M. Kinzer, Jr. and sisters, Sara K. Gill and Joyce K. Szabo.
She is survived by daughters, Lisa (Pat) Smith and Tammie Knox; sons, Ray (Gayle) Wilson, David (Carolyn) Wilson, and Steve (Cindy) Wilson; sisters, Rena (Jack) Lee, Mable (Bob) Blevins, and Norma Jean Dowell; grandchildren, Tanisha Wilson, Blake Wilson, Ray (Lori) Wilson, Lizz (Josh) Paille, Trey (Courtney) Overbey, Lacey Wilson, Michael (Kristyn) Wilson, Drew Wilson, Brittany Wilson (Tom, fiancé), Nick Wilson, (Kaylea, fiancée), Gerry Knox and Carole Knox; eleven great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews; dear friend, LaShael Pritchett and her family and many friends.
After 30 years, Carole retired as a PODS unit clerk from St. Thomas Hospital. She loved spending time with and going on outings with her sisters, reading and watching game shows and her favorite soap opera, “General Hospital.” Above all else, Carole was always happiest when her home was filled with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as they were her greatest joy and the loves of her life. Carole had a wonderful sense of humor and was a kind, loving and caring lady who always treated everyone like family.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to her St. Thomas PODS family. Thank you for always taking such good care of her, especially these last weeks.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service in the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home will be held Sunday, July 9, 2017, at 1:00 pm with Terence Hailey, Sr. officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Wilson will be Saturday, July 8, 2017, from 11 am - 8 pm and prior to the memorial from 11 am until time of service. Interment will be held Monday, July 10, 2017, at 10 am in the Holy Family section of Spring Hill Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
