Mrs. Carolyn R. Brown's Obituary
Mrs. Carolyn R. Brown, age 60, of Old Hickory, passed away on October 30, 2014. Mrs. Brown was born on August 10, 1954 to the late Eugene and Harriet Kerr. Mrs. Brown was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was very active in the Al Menah Shrine community and for a number of years, was the manager at Jack’s BBQ on Broadway in downtown Nashville.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene Woodard, Jr. and William Ernest “Buddy” Woodard; and sister, Shirley Vaden.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her loving husband of over twenty years, Ronald Brown; daughters, Jennifer (Richard) Reed, Tonia (Chris) Brown; son, Matt (Angela) Brown; grandchildren, Brittanie (DeJuan), Jessica (Pablo), Kayla and Rik; and great-grandchildren, Antwain, Luis, Maya, and Rosanna; as well as many loving nieces, great-nieces, and nephews.
Mrs. Brown’s family will receive friends and visitors on Sunday, November 2, 2014, from 12pm until 5pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Additional visitation will occur on Monday, November 3, 2014, from 9am until 11am.
Rita Broyles will lead a Celebration of Life Service to honor Mrs. Brown on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00am. Entombment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with members of the Al Menah Shrine Clown Unit serving as pallbearers.
