Carolyn Clemens Banks' Obituary
Carolyn Clemens Banks,72, of Madison, TN entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 8, 2011 after a brief illness. Born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee, Carolyn was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School. She also graduated from East Tennessee State University with a BSW degree. She worked for the State of Tennessee in Social Services, and later in a medical office. Ms. Banks was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution while living in Kingsport. She is now a member of Metro Baptist Church in Goodlettsville. She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton Lewis Clemens, Jr., and Madeline Smith Clemens; her maternal grandparents, Samuel L. Smith, DDS and Maude Woolsey Smith of Kingsport; her paternal grandparents Milton Lewis Clemens, Sr. and Margaret Moore Clemens from Knoxville, TN. Surviving are three sons Thomas Henry Banks, Jr. (Nancy) of Madison; William Lewis Banks of the home; and David Curtis Banks (Stacey) of Simpsonville, S.C. Ms. Banks has two granddaughters, Rachel Elizabeth, Abigail Darlene and one grandson, Ethan David Banks of South Carolina. A memorial service will be conducted at Metro Baptist Church in Goodlettsville, TN Saturday March 12 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastors Phil Martin and Craig Geesaman officiating.
