Anneliese Jones
My fondest memories of this man are as follows: short-lived nightly back rubs as a baby, speaking to him for the first time at great-grandmother Lee’s funeral in Memphis, TN, and the month I spent getting to know him in GA, as well as grandmother Mary, in the late 1988. He was incredibly smart, kind, open-minded, and down to earth with a calm and patient demeanor. He once told me that Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon album “is pure genius” and could speak passionately about all forms of music, art, film, and philosophy. He’d stay up almost all night working and drinking coffee, anticipating a better life for himself, and for me… I am his daughter, Anneliese M. Jones, of Collierville, TN, broken hearted by learning of this for the first time (May 12, 2025)—one day after my birthday and two days after returning home from Nashville. I only knew you for a brief time, but loved you all the same, Dad.
With eternal love and remembrance,
“Lisa”
