Ms. Charlene Allen's Obituary
Charlene W. Allen, age 81, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 in Madison, Tennessee. Charlene was born on July 23, 1935 in Boma, Tennessee to the late Solon H. Whitehead and Mary Alice (Julian) Whitehead.
Charlene enjoyed watching soap operas with her favorite being “Days of Our Lives”. She spent much of her spare time shopping and she thoroughly enjoyed dancing and riding the motorcycle with her husband. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, James F. Allen and her grandson, Erik Mitchell.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her daughter, Julia A. Goodwin and husband, Donnie G.; son, Rickey Mitchell; brother, Dean Whitehead; grandchildren, Jason Schwartz and Zackrey Mitchell; great- grandchildren, Brittnie Schwartz and Amber Schwartz; great-great grandchild, Malaki Combs. Charlene is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 2 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 12 PM until 8:00 PM with an additional visitation on Thursday from 10 AM until 2 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Rickey Mitchell, Zackrey Mitchell, Donnie G. Goodwin, Donnie L. Goodwin, Mark Sanders, and Danny DeMarcus.
