Mr. Charles Joseph "Joe" Weaver's Obituary
Charles Joseph “Joe” Weaver, Sr., age 85, passed away on June 15, 2015. He was born on May 14, 1930 in Robertson County, Orlinda, Tennessee. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Felix Weaver, Sr. and Buna Elizabeth Basford-Harled, and his daughter, Joyce Anita Weaver.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 64 ½ years, Mattie Mai Weaver; daughter, Mary Ann (Bobby) Jarrett; son, Charles Joseph (Heather) Weaver, II; four grandchildren, Bobby Joe Jarrett, Jr., Israel Jarrett, Austin Weaver, and Brooke Weaver; six great-grandchildren, Chris Daily, Coty Ford, Brandon Jarrett, Morgan Jarrett, Isaac Jarrett, and Coleby Shute; two great-great-granddaughters, Kassidy Daily and Brooklynn Jarrett; sister, Lilian Calderon, sister-in-law, Mary Christman; and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Joe served in the United States Army as a teacher. He also had his own construction company, from which he retired.
Joe's family will receive friends and visitors on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 4pm until 8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Additional visitation will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 12pm until 1pm.
Chaplain Mark Russell will lead a Celebration of Life service to honor Joe on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 1:00pm from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Crestview garden of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
