Charles Gerald Owsley's Obituary
Charles Gerald Owsley was born in Langdale, Alabama on June 29, 1938 and passed from this life in Clarksville, Tennessee. on September 7, 2023. He is preceded in death by his wife Jewell; parents, Howard Owsley and Demerle Cotton Owsley of Lanett, Alabama; and his sisters Betty Owsley Baker, Shirley Owsley Starnes, Marie Owsley Green and Diane Owsley, of Chambers and Tallapoosa County, Alabama. He is survived by his brother Howard Lynn Owsley and nephew Jeremy Lynn Owsley, both of Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Gerald graduated from Lanett High School in 1956 and joined the U.S. Navy in June of that same year. He was honorably discharged in July of 1960. Gerald loved country music and was a singer and guitar player. He drove a truck for many years before retiring for health reasons. His sharp wit and personality will be missed by his family and many friends.
