Mr. Charles "Pete" H. Scalf's Obituary
Charles “Pete” Hite Scalf, age 90, of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, James F. and Eloise Scalf; his wife of 60 + years, Jean Scalf; one brother James F. Scalf Jr. He is survived by James F. Scalf III, Jane D. Marshall, Molly Marshall Edwards (Jeff), Robert Edwards, Brian Marshall (Pattie), John Andrew Marshall (Ann). Pete graduated from Isaac Litton High School and was a member of the Jere Baxter Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Al Menah Shrine and was past Captain Potentate’s Guard. He and his wife were members of the Andrew Price United Memorial Methodist Church. He loved to play golf and travel the world with Jean. Pete honorably served in World War II in the United States Navy. Visitation for Pete will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 3 PM until 6 PM and again on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 9 AM until 10 AM at which time a Celebration of Life Funeral Ceremony will be conducted from the chapel at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee, 37216. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with Naval Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or Andrew Price United Memorial Methodist Church, Donelson, TN in Pete’s memory.
