Mr. Charles W. Ridge's Obituary
Charles W. “Charlie” Ridge, age 92 of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on July 24, 2019. Charlie was born on January 7, 1927 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Jordan and Ladye Ridge. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Betty Ridge, his son Tommy Ridge, and his brothers Jimmy and Bobby Ridge. He is survived by his daughter Annette Hasty, his sons Phillip Ridge and Steven Ridge (Melanie), his sister, Suzane Dixon (Mike), his grandchildren Randall Hargis, Michelle Ridge, Cindy Parks, Tiffany Ridge, Rusty Ridge, Adam Ridge, and Jason Hasty. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews, and his life-long friends Butch and Wanda Norton. He was loved dearly by them all, and his legacy lives on through them.
Charles was a proud World War II Veteran, Shriner, and a member of the Masonic Lodge – currently Lodge #240. Charles loved playing golf and listening to bluegrass and country music. He also loved spending time with family and friends telling stories of his past.
A visitation for Charles will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Spring Hill Funeral Home from 4-8pm, and again on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 1-2pm, with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service in the Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 2pm. Burial in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery to follow. Spring Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final care of Mr. Ridge. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216.
