Charlie Edward Collins' Obituary
COLLINS, Charles Edward “Charlie”; Born April 5, 1933 in Pioneer, TN to the late Lawrence and Ella Collins. Charlie was a member of Roy Acuff’s, Smoky Mountain Boys, where he played guitar, fiddle and mandolin as a Grand Ole Opry musician. He was preceded in death by two children, Charles William Collins and Lorili Collins Parker; brothers, Sonny and Arlis Collins; sister, Lois Collins. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary Agnes Bruce Collins; daughter, Teresa Lynn (Mike) Sweeney; daughter-in-law, Joanna Collins; son-in-law, James Parker; grandchildren, Rosa Lynn (Kevin) Bradley, Lauren Rose Collins, Harley Neal Logue; great-grandchildren, LCpl Anthony (Eleanor) Bradley, Shelby and Kelly Bradley Kaitlyn and Kamryn Logue; great-great grandchild, Emma Wren Bradley. brothers, Clyde Collins, Roy Collins and Tommy Collins; sisters, Marjorie Lay, Linda Lockard, June Sullivan, and Martha Neal. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-8PM at Spring Hill. The funeral ceremony will be on Monday January 16, 2012 at 10AM in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery where pallbearers will be, Harley Neal Logue, Kevin Bradley, Timmy Sullivan, Chris Lockard, and Ray Neal.
