Ms. Charlotte Martin's Obituary
Charlotte Hall Martin, age 68, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, at Alive Hospice in Nashville. She was born on December 9, 1947 to the late Bill and Lucille Stark Hall. She is survived by brothers, Vann Hall, Eugene Stark Hall (wife, Frankie); sister Judy Hall Hill (husband, Jim Hill); and nephews, Nathan Michael Wallach and Lee Hall.
Raised in Sumner County, Charlotte was an official member of the First Families of Tennessee as a direct descendant of the William Bruce Family who settled in Tennessee prior to statehood, June 1, 1796. A proud Southerner, well read in Southern History. Charlotte retired from the Tennessee Chapter of The Nature Conservancy in 2011. She was a prized staff member, well loved by the staff and board members, where she spent 18 years of dedicated service to a cause she believed in. Her long-term work supporting the Nature Conservancy’s mission helped protect more than 300,000 acres of land in her beloved Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers her family requests memorial donations be made in her name to the Tennessee Chapter of The Nature Conservancy at 210 25th Avenue North, Suite 810, Nashville, TN 37203.
