Mrs. Cheryl Sue Bernier's Obituary
Mrs. Cheryl Sue Moore Bernier, age 77 of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday June 26, 2022. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on January 25, 1945 to the late Jesse and Ruby Moore. In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her brother Jesse Tucker Moore Jr and sister Jacqueline Felts. She is survived by her loving husband Daniel Bernier, Daniel’s children Michael, Jennifer, and Jason (Jen), nieces and nephews Ginger, Jesse (Linda), Colette Ann (Ron), Nicole (Ron), Claudine (Rob), and Greg (Mimi), as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Cheryl was a very special person. She was the kindest and most thoughtful person you would ever meet. She loved people and always put others before herself, and she had the most loving and forgiving spirit. She loved flowers and watching and feeding birds. Cheryl was always the envy of the ladies she worked with, because once a month every month they were together, Dan personally brought her two and a half dozen long stemmed roses, just because. She and Dan shared a beautiful marriage in which they were both endlessly devoted to each other and always took care of each other. She had an affinity for Christmas, and it was her very favorite holiday. Even as an adult, she loved Santa and had a sense of childlike wonder and fascination with the magic of Christmas.
A hobby Cheryl and Dan enjoyed together was collecting. Cheryl was a collector of many things, from miniature glass shoes, to M&M’s memorabilia of all kinds, but her true passion for collecting lied with her absolute undying love of Elvis Presley. Cheryl loved Elvis just about more than anything and even met him three times. She was an avid collector of many articles of Elvis memorabilia, and could have opened her own Elvis museum with all the unique and rare items she amassed over the years. She and Dan enjoyed going every single year to the Elvis Memorial Week where she adored seeing the hundreds of Elvis impersonators.
Cheryl’s other hobbies included watching soap operas, staying up late playing computer games, enjoying sweets, and spending time with her beloved fur babies Cookie, Cinderella, and Sophie The Wonder Dog. The fur babies were like Cheryl and Dan’s children, and they spoiled them, loved on them, and took them everywhere they went.
