Cheryl "Chara" Lynn Minassian's Obituary
Cheryl “Chara” Lynn Minassian was born in Madison, TN. Growing up in her grandmother’s home along with her little sister Michelle, and uncles, David and Stevie. Also, Henry, her step grandfather. Her Mother and Father lived close and she also loved spending time with them. Her grandmother’s other children, Vickie and Johnny were also very present in her life as were her many cousins. Surrounded by so much love she thrived in early childhood, making the principals list, honor roll, perfect attendance list and won countless other accolades consecutively. She even was selected to have a poem published that she had written for a school assignment. She was an avid animal lover and grew up with many family pets. She was on the dance team at Goodlettsville Middle School where she had many friends that carried over to high-school and after. Her first job was at PetSmart where she saved up her own money and bought her first car at 16. She enjoyed riding around with her little sister and cousin more than anything and had a deep passion for sports cars. Much like her father who raced at the Nashville fairgrounds when she was a young girl.
Later in life after graduating High School, she found great joy in working in a church’s nursery as she was always good with children. She would go on to work on and off as a Nanny throughout her life. She also worked retail at CVS pharmacy for many years and even ventured on to Ecomerce from home. She spent the last 10 years with her finance, Britt who she loved dearly and was a dog mom to “Bubba” and “Gizmo,” her babies. She had many hobbies such as singing, shopping, and taking the dogs for walk. She loved to laugh and was a huge goofball all her life. She also enjoyed getting dolled up and spending time with family and friends. She loved her family fiercely and had the biggest heart. One of her greatest loves was her niece, Layla Grace, who she spent so much of her free time with or thinking of, along with her grandmother and sister. She was a caregiver to her grandmother close to her passing. She was such a role model in her little sister Michelle’s life and offered so much advice, love, and support to all who were close to her. Her smile could light up a room and her beauty was breathtaking but she was still a humble servant of God.
She is survived by her paternal grandmother, Carrie Batten and her maternal grandmother, Patricia Peacock; father, Michael Minassian; mother, Priscilla Peacock; sister, Michelle Peacock; brother in law, Faris Meho, fiancé, Britt Weatherly; uncles, David Minassian, John Minassian, Mark Peacock, Matt Peacock, Mark Peacock, Matt Peacock; Aunts, Victoria Duncan, Becky Creager, Betsy Peacock, Cynthia Peacock; cousins, Chelsea Minassian, Tara Vaughn, Lisa Pruitt, Christie Pruitt Townes, Jacob Duncan, Nathan Minassian, Heather Minassian, Sarah Peacock, Julia Peacock, Jennifer Creager, Matt Creager, Nathan Peacock and Kennon Peacock.
