Mr. Chester P. Cornett's Obituary
Chester P. Cornett, 88, of Hendersonville, TN. formerly of Harlan, KY, passed away January 29, 2016. He was born on December 14, 1927 to the late Dillard and Sarah Catherine Cornett. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Carlos and Bill Cornett; one son-in-law, Michael Bearden.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia Cornett; one son, C. Phillip Cornett; two daughters, Cathy Dennis (Doug), and Cindy Bearden; one brother, Lester (Mary Cornett); one sister, Emma Williams; seven grandchildren, Clay Cornett, Lori Stottman, Sarah Scott, Amy Oliver, Julie McNair, Chay Hamilton, Michael Taylor Bearden; 14 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a faithful member of Parkway Baptist Church in Goodlettsville where he served as a deacon. He was a Mason and a Shriner in Nashville. He was the owner of Automobile Recovery in Nashville, TN for over 40 years and served as the past president of National Finance Adjusters.
Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2016, 2:00 p.m. until time of service, 4:00 p.m. at Parkway Baptist Church, 505 Cunniff Parkway, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, with Bro. Ken Castleberry officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Parkway Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216, 615-865-1101.
