Mr. Christopher Dickens' Obituary
Christopher Junior Dickens, age 53, of Nashville, passed away on August 26, 2014. Chris was born on October 15, 1960 to the late Ned Dickens and Louise Whitehead Dickens. Chris was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be remembered as a simple man who loved the country, fishing, hunting, as well as his pets and anyone else’s.
In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by a brother and sister. He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene, whom he shared his love and life with for over thirty years. Also surviving are his children, Vallie Olinger (Brandie), Doug Olinger (Sheree), Kathy Johnson (Kenny), and Vera Dickens-Gibbs; grandchildren, Dakota, Caleb, Devin, Mikey “Scooter,” Lauren “Sissy”, Sarah, Emerald “Emmie”, Emmanuel “Bubbs” and his great-grandson, Braylen “Lil’ Man”; and brother, Timmy Dickens.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, September 1, 2014, from 12pm until 2pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Family and friends will lead a Celebration of Life Memorial Service to honor Chris at 2pm, following the visitation.
