Ms. Clara H. Bozarth's Obituary
Clara Mae Hamilton Bozarth, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. She was born in Sparta, Tennessee, White County, on July 26, 1929 to Herman and Margie (Gilliam) Hamilton both of whom preceded her in death.
After graduating high school Clara moved to Old Hickory, TN with two girlfriends to begin a job at DuPont, met and married her husband, Erskine Bozarth, and retired in 1982. She had many hobbies over the years, including sewing, quilting, crocheting and keeping her house and yard immaculate. She was an excellent cook, but preferred to eat out so not to mess up her kitchen. She was an avid sports fan, loved the Lady Vols and Atlanta Braves, but more than that loved watching her grandchildren and great-children play sports and just spending time with them. Her favorite was traveling the state watching Justin and Jillian, her grandchildren play baseball and softball. In her later years when she could no longer drive, she enjoyed shopping and eating out at restaurants. Above all else, she was affectionately called "Nannie" by the people she loved the most and adored her grandchildren and great-children. She was so very proud of them all.
Clara is survived by her daughter Jill Poss (Terry), grandchildren Justin Poss (Jessica) and Jillian Tollison (Dennis). She is also survived by her great-children Brileigh Poss (age 10), Mason Poss (age 8), Carter Tollison (age 6), Tanner Tollison (age 5) and Kree Tollison (age 20 months).
She was preceded in death by her husband Erskine Bozarth, sister Jessie Anderson and her two brothers Jim Hamilton and Bill Hamilton.
