Ms. Clara Glaus' Obituary
Clara Glaus, age 102 of Nashville passed away December 11, 2014.
Mrs. Glaus was a devoted mother and grandmother; she was a member of the Ashland City Church of Christ; loved to travel; retired from Eisele and Co. and Sam’s Club. Her long life can be attributed to her unconditional love for her family. She was born on December 11, 1912 in Brentwood, TN to the late Jerome and Fallie Johnson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold C. Glaus; son, Harold Cornelius Glaus and his wife, Linda Glaus; great-grandson, Connor Hunley; and her brother, Jerome Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Garvin) Hunley Claiborne; grandchildren, Kenneth (Cindy) Glaus, Deborah (Mike) Flowers, Eddie Hunley and Tammy (Shelton) Wasilewsky; great-grandchildren, Jim (Anna) Flowers, Mark (Hope) Flowers, Elizabeth & Carter Glaus, and Victoria & Ragan Wasilewsky; great-great granddaughter, Clara Ann Flowers and her sisters, Arlene Mulligan and Jean Thomas.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 16th at 1:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Garvin Claiborne officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday, December 15th from 4-8 P.M. Active pallbearers will be: Kenneth Glaus, Eddie Hunley, Shelton Wasilewsky, Jim Flowers, Mark Flowers, Ragan Wasilewsky, Mike Flowers, and Larry Glaus. Honorary pallbearers will be: James Cato, Robert Cato, Cletus Okijo, Beverly Qualls, Linda Kellogg and the staff at Cumberland Manor.
