Mr. Clarence Arnold "Mr. D" Demonbreun Jr.'s Obituary
Clarence Arnold “Mr. D” Demonbreun, Jr., age 84, of Nashville passed away Friday, October 2, 2015. He was born July 16, 1931 in Nashville TN to the late Clarence Arnold Demonbreun, Sr. and Grace Bale Demonbreun. Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Haas and grandson, Michael Paul Genson. Clarence is a longtime member of Inglewood Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school. He also had membership with the American Legion and the Civitan Club. Clarence worked with meals on wheels and coached church league softball. He loved gardening and had the most beautiful flowers. His family remembers his love of blue birds and Tennessee Vols.
Clarence loved his family but most especially his #1 wife of 58 years, Rachel Demonbreun. He is also survived by his daughter, Lisa Demonbreun (Jeff) Genson; son, Clarence Arnold “Trey” Demonbreun III and family; grandchildren, Ryan (McKenzie) Genson and Lauren Rachel Genson (fiancé, Justin Sunday); great-grandson, Murphy Arnold Genson; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9-11 a.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Kevin Shrum officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
