Mr. Claude "Mike" Crawford's Obituary
Mr. Claude Michael “Mike” Crawford, age 57 of Hallsville, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020. Mike was born on April 24, 1963 in Morton, Mississippi to the late Leon and Helen Crawford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Earl Eubanks. He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Kimberly Brown Crawford, his son Eric Crawford (Shannon), his daughters Christy Crawford and Tiffany Culpepper (Denver), his brothers Lee Eubanks (Donna), Tommy Eubanks (Mary), Wayne Eubanks (Dawn), his grandchildren Malleigh, Raeleigh, Mary Kate, and Miles Culpepper, and his granddaughter on the way Emmalyn Mae Crawford. In addition to his blood family, he is also survived by a host of friends and colleagues from Ivey Mechanical, all of whom he considered to be family as well.
Mike was a man of great faith in God, his family, and fellow man. He was a caring, kind hearted, and selfless man of high integrity and strong morals. He strived to help people and would do anything for anyone. During his 34 plus years at Ivey Mechanical, he oversaw the construction of numerous hospitals and medical facilities throughout the United States where untold lives have been saved over the years. Mike’s contribution to providing such facilities to communities across the nation was of great pride to him. He was driven and stubborn--right was right, wrong was wrong. Being fair was always the priority no matter the circumstance. These qualities are the foundation that made Mike who he was and made him so successful. He took great pride in anything he did and made sure to pass down those values to his children. Mike was not a materialistic man; as long as he had his family and a Diet Coke in his hand, everything was right in his world. Mike cherished and cared deeply for his family, both related and unrelated; especially for his children and wife Kim whom he loved with every ounce of his heart. He was respected and loved to the highest level by his family and friends; many of which looked to him for guidance, knowledge, and comfort. Mike was a one of a kind man whose legacy will live on forever. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A visitation will be held for Mr. Crawford from 4-8pm on Thursday, June 11 at Spring Hill Funeral Home, and again on Friday, June 12 from 10-11am with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service beginning at 11am in the Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Spring Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final care of Mr. Crawford. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216. (615) 865-1101. “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
