Mr. Claude Earl Kestner's Obituary
Claude Earl Kestner – Born on October 19, 1937 to the late Claude Miller Kestner and Elizabeth Williams Kestner in Nashville, TN and passed away on February 5, 2018 at his home in Goodlettsville, TN at 80 years of age.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Kestner. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dorothy Kestner; children, Randy (Lisa) Kestner, Sonja (Gary) Ragland, Melba (Mike) Fredericks, and Tanksley Kestner; 7 grandchildren, Brandy (Stephen) Reed, Timmy Kestner, Michelle (Chris) Hollingsworth, Amanda Ragland, Keith Ragland, Cody Fredericks and Kristen Fredericks; 4 great-grandchildren, Camron Kestner, Emma Hollingsworth, Morgan Reed and Micah Reed; and 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
As a mechanic by trade, he was naturally a lover of all elements of race cars… from building them, working on them and racing them. He will also be remembered for his knack for fixing most anything, his love of country music (especially George Jones), his own talent with a harmonica, and his love for his kids and grandkids who have their own fond memories of watching him enjoy the Andy Griffith Show in his rocking chair.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation and remembrance of all their special memories on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Spring Hill Funeral Home beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life service beginning at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Benny Snoddy and Pastor Jerry Shrum. Interment will then follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
