Mr. Clyde D. Smith's Obituary
Clyde D. Smith, age 62 of Goodlettsville, passed away on July 15, 2013. Clyde was born on July 11, 1951 in Nashville, TN to Clyde H. and Vergie Smith.
He retired from the Metro Nashville Water Department after many years of service. He loved riding his Harley Davidson, restoring old trucks and was passionate about politics. He served the community of Nashville while working with the Job Corps helping inner city youth’s find jobs, transportation and housing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammy Smith and uncle, Baxter Smith. He is survived by many friends. A celebration of Clyde’s life will be conducted 3:30 P.M., Saturday, August 3, 2013 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center.
