Cordell F. Johnson's Obituary
Cordell F. Johnson, 77, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie Johnson, four children, Tracey Padgett, Sheila Knight, Woody Johnson and Ricky Johnson, twelve grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and siblings, Jean Hodgken, Linda Gail Ellis, Myrtel Driver, Brenda Clark and Jr. Walker. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Johnson, Mary Neal Walker and stepfather, Arnold Walker.
Mr. Johnson, a devoted family man, an avid fisherman, a passionate camper and dedicated member of the Hendersonville Pentecostal Church leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and faith. His unwavering commitment to his family, his deep connection with nature and his relentless service to his church will be forever cherished by those who knew him.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville. The funeral will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, at two o’clock in the afternoon with two hours prior reserved for visiting. Pastor Roger Thaxton will preside over the funeral service. The committal will immediately follow at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
