Mrs. Corinne Taylor Shaw's Obituary
Mrs. Corinne Taylor Shaw, 92, widow of Donald B. Shaw and a resident of Nashville, died Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center.
The Nashville native was the daughter of the late Herman Houston and Lula Mae Stoneking Taylor. She was a graduate of East Nashville High School where she lettered in every sport that was offered. She retired with many years of service from the State of Tennessee Department of Treasury and was a member of the Riverside Drive Church of Christ. Mrs. Shaw enjoyed sewing, camping, traveling especially to The Great Smoky Mountains and Florida and was an avid fan of the University of Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Jana Shaw and Sierra Shaw; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Shaw; a son, David Shaw; two sisters, Louise Phillips and Rachel Knight; two brothers, Joe Taylor and Houston Taylor; a great aunt, Geneva Stoneking.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Ceremony will be conducted Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 1:00PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Billy Akin officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday, November 3, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Thomas Craighead section of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
