Mr. Curtis Sims' Obituary
Curtis Odie Sims, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at The Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville, TN. Curtis was born on February 21, 1951 in Nashville, TN.
Curtis was a family man and had a great love for them. He found humor in calling his grandkids and talking to them, pretending to be porky pig and Santa Claus. He was a great cook and could make the best deviled eggs and chocolate oatmeal cookies that anyone has ever tasted. He was a UT football and Titans fan. Mr. Sims enjoyed cutting grass and detailing vehicles. He was loved and appreciated by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Lucille (Litchford) Baxter.
Mr. Sims is survived by his loving wife, Maxine Sims; daughters, Jamie and husband, Jeremy Easterling, Lorra and husband, Drew Hadley; sons, Chris and wife, Bethany Sims, Brian and wife, Traci Stubblefield; brother, Kelvin and wife Kristy Baxter; sister, Kathey Seaborn; seven grandchildren, Emma, Katelyn, William, Colton, Amber, Jacob, and Shawn; five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 12 noon at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 5-8 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. There will be an additional visitation on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Interment will take place in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
