Cynthia Kay Champion's Obituary
Cynthia Kay Champion, age 56, passed away January 12, 2011. Preceded in death by her parents Roy Joseph and Mary Alexander and brother-in-law Glenn Yates. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Don Champion, daughter Charity Hamilton (D.J.), grandchildren Alexis Champion and Noah Hamilton, sisters Beverly Clefich (Lyle), Nancy Simpkins (W.L.), Barbara Yates, and Anita Tate (John), mother-in-law Sarah Champion, uncle Morris Estes, aunt Eva Estes, numerous nieces and nephews, special friends and thanks to Charlotte Robinson Yates, Diane Gilbert, Judge Barbara Haynes (Joe) and Susan. Mrs. Champion was the former owner of Cindy’s Florist and Cindy’s Flowers. In addition to selling flowers, she was known for selling vegetables in the Madison/Hendersonville area and to the local retirement facilities. She was a lifelong member of the Madison Church of Christ and was best known for her giving heart and compassion to help others. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011, 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Bro. Phil Barnes officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn and Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216, 615-865-1101.
